Shriya Saran made her acting debut with the Telugu film Ishtam (2001), but it was Santosham (2002) that brought her widespread recognition and earned her a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Actress – Telugu. She continued her successful run with Chennakesava Reddy, Nuvve Nuvve, Neeku Nenu Naaku Nuvvu, Tagore, Ela Cheppanu, and Enakku 20 Unakku 18, the latter marking her Tamil debut.
