Losliya Mariyanesan is a Sri Lankan actress, television presenter, and former newsreader who was born on March 23, 1996, in Kilinochchi, Northern Province, Sri Lanka. She grew up in Trincomalee after her family relocated there, and she attended St. Mary’s College, Trincomalee. She is identified as a Sri Lankan Tamil and comes from a Tamil Christian family. Losliya began her media career in Sri Lanka with the Capital Maharaja Organisation and joined Shakthi TV around 2015. She hosted the morning programme Good Morning Sri Lanka from 2015 to 2018 before working as a newsreader with News First from 2018 to 2019. Her major breakthrough came in 2019 when she entered Bigg Boss Tamil 3 on Star Vijay. She remained in the reality show for more than 100 days and finished as the second runner-up, which brought her a much wider audience in Tamil Nadu and among Tamil-speaking viewers internationally.
Following her Bigg Boss appearance, Losliya moved into acting. She made her Tamil-film debut as Anitha in Friendship (2021), appearing alongside Harbhajan Singh and Arjun.
