Ashika Ranganath is an Indian actress born on August 5, 1996, in Tumakuru, Karnataka, India. She comes from a Kannada-speaking family and has an elder sister, Anusha Ranganath, who is also associated with Kannada entertainment. Ashika studied at Bishop Sargant School in Tumakuru before moving to Bengaluru for higher education, attending Jyoti Nivas College and later completing a commerce degree at MES College of Arts, Commerce and Science. She also trained in several dance forms, including freestyle, belly dance and western dance. Before entering films, she participated in the Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest in 2014 and finished as the runner-up. Ashika Ranganath began her film career with the Kannada romantic action film Crazy Boy in 2016, playing Nandini. She subsequently appeared in Mass Leader and Mugulu Nage in 2017, followed by Raju Kannada Medium, Raambo 2 and Thayige Thakka Maga in 2018. Her later Kannada credits include Madhagaja, where she played Pallavi, Avatara Purusha, Raymo, Kaaneyaadavara Bagge Prakatane, Garuda, O2 and Avatara Purusha 2. She has also worked outside Kannada cinema, appearing as Pavithra in the Tamil film Pattathu Arasan, Ishika in the Telugu film Amigos, and Varalaxmi in Naa Saami Ranga.
