Lakshmi Unnikrishnan K, professionally known as Lakshmi Nakshathra, is an Indian television presenter who was born on September 2, 1991, in Koorkenchery, Thrissur, Kerala, India. She holds Indian nationality and belongs to the Malayali ethnic community. As a native of Kerala, she primarily speaks Malayalam and is also fluent in English. Lakshmi is the daughter of Unnikrishnan and Bindu. She completed her schooling at St. Paul’s Convent School, Kuriachira, and IES Public School, Thrissur. She later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Functional English from Christ College, Irinjalakuda, followed by a Master of Business Administration from ELIMS. From an early age, she showed a keen interest in music and began learning classical music at the age of seven, participating in numerous competitions.
