Sivaangi Krishnakumar was born on May 25, 2000, in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala, India. She holds Indian nationality and comes from a family deeply rooted in music, with a Malayali mother and a Tamil father. She is fluent in Tamil, Malayalam, and English. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where she was raised. She is the daughter of renowned playback singers Krishnakumar and Binni Krishnakumar, both recipients of the Kalaimamani Award. She also has a younger brother, Vinaayak Sunder. Sivaangi completed her schooling at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Virugambakkam, Chennai, and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai.
